- 4 - PREPARE THE HOOD Unpack hood and check contents. You should receive: 1 - Hood 1 - Decorative Flue Assembly 1 - Support Frame 1 - Duct Collar 1 - Parts Bag (B080810004) containing: 4 - Mounting Screws (6 x 70mm) 8 - Washers Ø 6.4mm 4 - Washers Ø 4.
- 5 - EXTERIOR OR IN-LINE BLOWER SELECTION CAUTION: Either an exterior blower or in-line blower may be used with this hood. The IEX42 hood must be installed with blower models EB6, EB9, EB12, EB15, ILB3, ILB6, ILB9, or ILB11 only. Other Blowers cannot be substituted (Blowers sold separately).

- 7 - INSTALL SUPPORT SYSTEM 1. At hood location, install 2 X 4 cross framing between ceiling joists using dimensions shown. 2. Finish the ceiling surface. Be sure to mark the location of the ceiling joists and cross framing. 3. Position the support frame as shown.
- 8 - INSTALL DUCT COLLAR 1. Fold the 4 tongues outwards. 2. Fix the discharge collar onto the hood; it must be fixed either by means of 4 mounting screws (3,9x9,5mm). DISCHARGE COLLAR TONGUES CONNECT DECORATIVE FLUE 1. Secure the upper flue to the upper support frame with the mounting screws (3,9x9,5mm).
- 9 - MOUNT HOOD TO SUPPORT FRAME 1. Before mount hood to support frame remove the electrical box. 2. Mount hood to support frame. 3. Insert four (4) bolts through the top of the hood - from the inside. 4. Use four (4) nuts and four (4) washers (Ø6,4mm) to secure hood to support frame as shown.
- 10 - BOX MARKED “120 VAC INPUT” BLOWER CONNECTION AT HOOD BOX MARKED “MOTOR CONNECTION” Exterior or In-Line blower CONNECT: WHITE-TO-WHITE, RED-TO-BLACK, GREEN-TO-GROUND. POWER CONNECTION AT HOOD CONNECT: WHITE-TO-WHITE, BLACK-TO-BLACK, GREEN-TO-GROUND.
- 11 - CONNECT DUCTWORK 1. Use 8" round metal duct to connect the discharge collar on the hood to the ductwork above. 2. Use duct tape to make all joints secure and air tight. 3 . Remove the two temporary retaining screws from the lower flue and set it in place on the hood.
- 12 - MAINTENANCE Proper maintenance of the Range Hood will assure proper performance of the unit. Grease Filters The grease filters should be cleaned fre- quently. Use a warm detergent solution. Grease filters are dishwasher safe. Remove filters by pushing filters towards the back of hood and rotating filters downward.
- 13 - LIGHT SWITCH PILOT LAMP BLOWER SPEED CONTROL BLOWER ON / OFF SWITCH OPERATION Controls The hood is operated using the slide controls under the front edge of the hood. The light switch turns the halogen lights on and off. The blower on / off switch turns the blower on to the running speed set by the blower speed control.

- 18 - CHOIX DE VENTILATEUR EXTERNE OU “IN-LINE” ATTENTION: avec cette hotte, on peut utiliser soit un ventilateur externe soit “In-Line”. La hotte IEX42 doit être installée avec un ventilateur des modèles suivants EB6, EB9, EB12, EB15, ILB3, ILB6, ILB9, ou ILB11 uniquement.

- 20 - INSTALLATION DU SYSTEME DE SUPPORT 1. Installez, à l’emplacement de votre hotte, un cadre croisé de 2 x 4 entre les solives du plafond en suivant les dimensions qui vous sont indiquées. 2 . Perfectionnez la surface du plafond. Assurez-vous de bien marquer l’empla- cement des solives et du cadre croisé au plafond.
