12 TO CANCEL THE COUNTDOWN If you change your m ind and want t o cancel th e 'Countdown', pr ess the 'Cou ntdown' button ( ) and then the dec rease co ntrol ( - ) until 0.00 sho ws in the displa y as Fig. 4. The 'Countdo wn' indicator will continue t o flash f or a few sec onds and then ret urn to the tim e of day.

19 USES OF THE T OP OVEN The top oven is the sm aller of the two ovens . It is heate d by elem ents in the top and bo ttom of the ov en. It is designed f or cook ing sm aller quantit ies of f ood. It gives especiall y good results if us ed to cook fruit c akes, sweets and savo ury flans or quiche.

21 USES OF THE FA N OVEN PREHE A TI NG The fan oven quic kly reaches its tem perature, so it is not us ually nec essary to pr eheat the o ven. W ithout preheati ng however, you ma y f ind you ne ed to add a n extra 5-10 m inutes on th e recomm ended cook ing tim es.
