15 OPERA TION Setting the temperature The temperature inside the refrigerator is regulated by a thermostat with 6 temperature positions and one «OFF» ( O ) position. 18 Cool chec k temperature guide This model has a cool check temperature guide fitted to a shelf in the fridge compartment. The guide is designed to sho w whether the fridge is operating at safe temperatures for all food types. The guide consists of a temperature sensiti ve strip sealed in the shelf trim.
19 Defr osting The refrigerator compartment e vaporator is automatically defrosted e very time the compressor stops. The w ater drains out through a channel (Fig. 20) into a bo wl located at the base of the back of the appliance, where it e vaporates.
