30 H Vi ew ing and Focusing The Canon EF is a s ingle-lens-refle x (SLR) ca mera. This means that you view the sub ject through the same lens as is u sed to ta k e the photograph. Continuous vie wing (except at t he momen t of exposure) is made poss ible by the use of an instant-ret urn mirror located inside the bod y just below t he pe ntaprism.
