Step 8 — Lo w V olta g e Wiring THERMOST A T CONNECTIONS — The thermostat should be wired directly to the Aquazone ™ control board. See Fig. 4 and 5. W A TER FREEZE PRO TECTION — The Aquazone control allows the field selection of source fluid freeze protection points through jumpers.
10. Syste m Controls: T o ensure that no catastrophic system failures occur, verify that system controls are funct ioning and that the sequencing is corr ect. 11 . Freeze Protection for W ate r System : V erify that f reeze protection is provided for the building loop water system when outdoor design conditions require it.
Boilerless Changeov er T emperature — Switch 8 on S1 pro- vides selection of boilerless changeover temperature set point. Select OFF for set point of 50 F or select ON for set point of 40 F . If switch 8 is set for 50 F , then the c ompressor will be used for heating as long as the FP1 is a bove 50 F .
NOTE: Three factors determine th e operating limits of a unit: (1) entering air temperature, (2) water t emperature and (3) ambient temper ature. Whenever any of these factors are at a minimum or maximum level, the other two factors must be at a normal level to ensure proper uni t operation.
6. Open the return valve to send a pressure surge through the loop to purge any air pockets in the piping system. 7. A noticeable drop in fluid level will be seen in the flush cart tank. This is t he only indication of air in the loop. NOTE: If air is purged from the system while using a 10 in.
OPERA TION P ower Up Mode — The unit will not operate until all the inputs, terminals and safety controls are ch ecked for normal operation. NOTE: The c ompressor will have a 5-minute an ti-short cycl e upon power up.
