Step 3 — Locate Unit — The following guidelines should be considered when choosing a location for a WSHP: • Units are for indoor use only . • Locate in areas where ambient temperatures are between 4.4 C and 37.8 C and relative humidity is no greater than 75%.
EX I S TI N G DU C T S YS T E M — If the unit is connected to existing ductwork, consider the following: • V erify that the ex isting duct s have th e proper capacity to handle the unit airflow . If the ductwork i s too small, larger ductwork should be installed.
7. Mount motor , motor sheave, blower sheave and belt. Make sure wire s are not pi nched and not over sharp edg- es. Adjust motor downward to tighten belt. Raise or lower motor slide assembly with adjusting bolt and retighten the 2 slide nuts. Check for correct tension.
• All plastic to metal thread ed fittings should be av oided due to the potential to leak. Use a flange fitted s ubstitute. • T eflon tape thread sealan t is recommended to minim ize internal fouling of the heat exchanger . • Use backup wrench.
Determine percent voltage imbalance. = 0.95% This amount of phase imbalance is satisfactory as it is below the maximum allowable 2%. Operation on improper line voltage or excessive phase imbalance constitutes abuse and may cause damage to electri- cal components.
Table 2 — Water Quality Guideline s LEGEND *Heat exchanger materials considered are copper , cupronick el, 304 SS (stainless steel), 316 SS, titanium. †Closed recirculating system is identified by a closed pressurized piping system. **Recirculating open wells should observe the open recirculating design considerations.

Step 10 — Install Field Contr ol Wiring TH E R M OS T A T C O N N EC T I O N S — The thermostat should be wired directly to the Aquazone™ control board. See Fig. 18 and 19. The thermostat should be located on an interior wall in a larger room, away from supply duct drafts.
PRE-ST ART -UP System Chec kout — When the installation is complete, follow the system checkout procedure outlined below before starting up the system. Be sure: 1. V oltage is within the utilizati on range specifications of the unit compressor and fan moto r and voltage is balanced for 3-phase units.

AIR COIL FREEZE PROTECTION (FP2) LI MIT SET - TI N G — Select jumper 2 (JW2-FP2 Low T emp) to choose FP2 limit of –12.2 C or –1.1 C. T o select –1.1 C as the limit, DO NOT clip the jumper . T o select –12.2 C as the limit, clip the jumper .
ME C H AN I C A L N I G HT S E T BA C K — When NSB input is connected to ground C, all thermostat inputs are ignored. A thermostat set back heating call will then be connected to the OVR input. If OVR input becomes active, then the Deluxe D control will enter Night Low Limit (NLL) staged heating mode.
4. Check the temperature of both supply and discharge water . 5. Air temperature drop across the coil should be checked when compressor is operating. Air temperature drop should be between –9.4 and –3.9 C. Unit Start-Up in Heating Mode NOTE: Operate the unit in heating cycle after checking the cooling cycle.
or before access to all conne ctions is limited. T est pressure may not exceed the maximum allowable pressure for the unit and all components within the water system.
immediately once the demand is removed. The control re - verts to Heating Stage 1 mode. If there is a master/slave or dual compressor application, all compressor relays and re- lated functions will op erate pe r their associated DIP switch 2 setting on S1.

Filter s — Filters must be clean for maximum perfor mance. Inspect filters every month unde r normal operating conditions. replace when n ecessary . W ashable, high efficiency , electrostatic filters, when dirty , can exhibit a very high pressure drop for the fan motor and re- duce air flow , resulting in poor performance.
For average scale deposit, allow solution to remain in con- denser overnight. For heavy scale deposit, allow 24 hours. Drain condenser and flush with clean water .
NOTE: There should be a 3 to 6 mm gap between the mating part hub and the bushing flange. If the gap is closed, the bushing is probably the wrong size. 3. W ith taper-lock bushed hubs , be su re the bushing bolts are tightened evenly to prevent side-to-side pulley wob- ble.
TROUBLESHOO TING When troubleshooting problems with a WSHP , see T able 18. Thermistor — A thermistor may be required for single- phase units where starting the unit is a problem due to low voltage.
