PSC (PERM ANENT S PLIT CAP ACIT OR) BLO WER SPEE D SELEC TION — All W at er Source Heat Pumps are fac tory set to deliver rated ai rflow at nominal stat ic (37 Pa) on medium speed. Where higher static i s needed, high spee d can be utilized (100 to 125 Pa).
Step 9 — Low V olta ge Wiring (See Fig. 15) TH E RM O S T A T C ON N EC T I O NS — The thermostat should be wired directly to the Aquazone™ cont rol board. See Fig. 9-12. W A TER FREEZE PROTECTION — The Aquazone control allows the field selection of source fluid freeze protection points through jumpers.

Anti free ze — In areas where ent ering loop temperatures drop below 4.4 C or where piping will be routed through areas subject to free zing, antifreeze is needed. Alcohols and glyc ols are commonly used as anti freeze agents. Fr eeze prot ection shoul d be mainta ined to 8.
Output EH2 will be off if FP1 is greater than 7.2 C and FP2 (when shorted) is great er than 43.3 C during Heating Stage 3 mode. This condition will have a 30-second recognition time. Also, during Heating Stage 3 mode, EH1, EH 2, Fan Enable, and Fan Speed will be ON i f G input is not active.
Retry Mode — In Re try mode, the status LED will start to flash slowly to signal that the control is trying to recover from an input fault. The control will s tage off the outputs and try to again satisfy the thermostat used to terminal Y . Once the ther- mostat input calls are satisfied, the control will continue normal operation.
Condensate Drain P ans — Chec k condensate drain pans for algae growth t wice a year . If algae growth is apparent , consult a water treatment speci alist for proper chemic al treat- ment. Applying an algaecide every three months will typically eliminate algae problems in most locations.
5. Read liquid line temperature on thermometer; then subtract from bubble point temperature. The di fference equals subcooling temperatu re. 6. Compare the subcooling temperature with the normal temper ature li sted in T able 9.
