Connecting the Ethernet Adapter 17 Connecting to a Hub Y ou can supply network connections for up to 16 devices, such as computers and network printers, by connecting the Ether net Adapter to an Ethernet hub , as shown in Figure 8.

About UART A Universal Asynchronous Receiver/T ra nsmitter (UART) is the fundamental hardwar e for serial communication, controlling the speed and method of data transfer of the seri al port.

The Line length p arameter sets the maximum size for this buffer .

The backup saves all the parameters of the selected Ether net Adapter in a file on your computer .
Using the Configuration Management Sys tem 49 Clearing the Ether net Client List The Ether net Adapter supports up to 16 specific clients (for examp le, computers and printers) and keeps track of the clients with a list of their MAC addresses.
