About UART A Universal Asynchronous Receiver/T ra nsmitter (UART) is the fundamental hardwar e for serial communication, contr olling th e speed and method o f data transfer of the ser ial port.

The Line length parameter sets the maximum size for this buffer .
Using the Configuration Management Sys tem 45 Applying Settings After you set the UART settings, netwo rk serial port settings, and operation mode, select Apply to make the settings take effect.

If the Ethernet Adapter was using an IP address setting other than the default, restoring the factory defaults will change th e IP address.

The backup saves all the parameters of the selected Ether net Adapter in a file on your computer .
Using the Configuration Management Sys tem 49 Clearing the Ether net Client List The Ether net Adapter supports up to 16 specific clients (f or example, computers and printers) and keeps track of the clients with a list of their MAC addresses.
