3 -EN Never Attempt the Following Do not grip or pull out the disc while it is being pulled back into the player by the automatic reloading mechanism. Do not attempt to insert a disc into the unit when the unit power is of f. Inserting Discs Y our player accepts only one disc at a time for playback.
4 -EN Opening the Fr ont P anel 1 Press the Open button on the F ront P anel. NOTE Hide the Front Panel if it does not come out within 6 seconds after the Open button has been pressed. The power will turn off after the Front Panel hiding. Hiding the Front Panel 1 Press the HIDE button on the Front Panel for at least 3 seconds.
5 -EN Displa y Angle Adjustment The mov able display ma y be adjusted to 3 diff erent angles depending upon user preference . 1 Press the F button, and when the FUNC indicator blinks , adjust the mov able display angle by pressing b utton F1 (DO WN) or F2 (UP).

7 -EN T urning Mute Mode On/Off If a de vice having the interrupt f eature is connected, audio will be automatically muted whene ver the interrupt signal is receiv ed from the de vice. This function can be tur ned ON or OFF from the head unit by f ollowing procedure below .
8 -EN Basic Operation Setting the A UX Mode Y ou can input TV/video sound by connecting an optional Ai-NET/RCA Interf ace cable (KCA-121B) to this component. 1 Press and hold the INTLZ b utton for at least 2 seconds. 2 Press the f UP button repeatedly to select "A UX" .
9 -EN Adjusting the b uilt-in A udio Pr ocessor Y ou can change High P ass Filter, Lo w Pass Filter , and Sub Woof er Phase on this unit, so that you can create your f av orite sound effects . 1 Press and hold the A. PROC button f or at least 3 seconds to enter Adjust Mode.
10 -EN DN g f UP F F1 F2 Equalizer Presets Six typical equalizer settings are preset at the factory f or a variety of musical source material. 1 Press the 7-Band Graphic EQ button to s witch to the EQ mode. 2 Press the Preset buttons (F1 thr ough F6) within 10 seconds to select the desired mode.
11 -EN Adjusting the Time Correction Time Correction: The distance between the listener and the speak ers in a car vary widely due to the special conditions of the mobile environment. This difference in the distances from the speakers to the listener creates a shift in the sounds image and frequency characteristics.
12 -EN Preset buttons (F1 thr ough F6) BAND Manual T uning 1 Press the SOURCE button until a r adio frequency appears in the displa y . 2 Press the B AND button repeatedly until the desired radio band is displa yed.
13 -EN Manual Storing of Station Presets 1 Select the radio band and tune in a desired radio station you wish to store in the preset memory . 2 Press and hold any one of the Preset b uttons (F1 through F6) f or at least 2 seconds until the station frequency on the displa y blinks .
14 -EN Setting RDS Reception Mode and Receiving RDS Stations The RDS (Radio Data System) is a radio inf or mation system using the 57 kHz subcarrier of regular FM broadcast.
15 -EN Receiving RDS Regional (Local) Stations 1 Press and hold the INTLZ button f or at least 2 seconds to activate the setting mode . 2 Press the f UP button repeatedly to select "REG. 17 -EN Displa ying Radio T ext T ext messages from a r adio station can be displa yed. 1 T une in a radio station that transmits text messages. 2 Press the F button. The FUNC indicator will illuminate. 3 Press the F6 (R.TXT) button to activ ate the Radio T ext mode .
18 -EN Opening and Closing the Mo v able displa y 1 Press the c button. The mov ab le displa y will open. T o close the mov able displa y , press the c button again. The mov ab le displa y will close. NO TES • Do not apply shock to the mo vable display when it is open as it may r esult in malfunction of the unit.
19 -EN 4 T o eject the disc, press the c button. NO TES • Thr ee-inch (8cm) CD's can be used. • If the CD does not eject, pr ess c button a gain for at least 3 seconds with the movable display open. • Only com.pact discs containing the mark shown can be used.
20 -EN Displaying the Title/T ext It is possible to displa y the CD title if the title has been pre viously inputted. For details , see Titling Discs (see this page). T ext inf or mation, such as the disc name and the trac k name, will be displa yed if pla ying a CD text compatib le disc.
21 -EN 6 Press and hold the TITLE button f or at least 3 seconds to record the title. NO TES • The memory can stor e up to 150 titles for CD, CD Changer . If you try to store be yond the limit, the display will show "FULL D A T A." At this point, no mor e titles can be stor ed.
22 -EN Searc hing for Titled Discs/CD T ext If a CD is titled, you can do a search f or it. Y ou can also search f or CD TEXT discs by title. (T o title CDs, ref er to "Titling Discs" on page 20.) 1 Press and hold the T .S.M. button f or at least 2 seconds.
