When a ca rtridge slot is positioned in front of the tape drive, the loader grips the sides of the ca rtridge and slides it between the slot and tape drive.

The carousel co nsists of a drive chain, guides, and gears that move the cartridges into position in front of the tape drive and make sure that the cartridge is correctly al igned.

W hen the rails are installed, the shelf flanges will face inward to support t he autoloader .

This log data is helpful for development and serv ice purposes. The error and event log is accessible throug h the Operator’ s Panel and can be read out entry by entr y .
