When arme d in S TAY mod e, the sy stem will soun d an alarm if a pro tected door or window is opened, but you may otherwise move freely through out the prem ises.
– 34 – Arming Perimeter Only (With Entry Dela y ON) (cont ’ d) Au t o -S T AY Ar m in g Auto-stay allows the sy stem to automa tically bypass c ertain zones if upo n arming none of the entr y/exit zones are faul ted during t he exit del ay time (n o one exits the premises ).

When armed in INSTA NT mode, th e syste m will sound an alarm if a protected door or windo w is opened, b ut you m ay otherwi se move freel y throughout t he premises.

– 37 – Arming all Protection (with Entry Delay OFF) Using the 4 MA XIMUM Key Use this ke y when the pre mises will be v acant fo r extend ed period s of time such as vac ations, e tc., or w hen no one will be movin g through protected interior area s.

A red and green light on the keys witch pla te indicate the st atus of your sy stem as f ollows: Green Light: Lights when the s ystem is disarmed and ready to be armed (no open zon es).

In the event of a n emergency, the sm oke and heat detectors a utomatically send si gnals to your C ontrol, tri ggering a loud interrupti ng sound from t he keypad and the opti onal exterior s ounders.
– 59 – Fire Alarm System (cont ’ d) Event Display Lock If several zones produce an alarm, trouble or supervisory, the system wil l displa y the first zone that produced a n event. T o dis play the ot her zone(s) in alarm or t rouble, pres s the [*] key for each zone.
– 60 – Trouble Conditions Typical Trouble Displ ays The w ord CHECK or TRBL on the K eypad's disp lay, accomp anied by a rapid "beeping" at the Keypa d, indicat es there is a troub le condition in th e system. To silence the beep ing sound for troubl e conditions, press any key.
– 61 – Trouble Conditions (cont ’ d) • A display of " COMM. FAILURE " at the Keypad indicates that a fai lure has occurred in t he telephone communication po rtion of your sys tem.
– 62 – Emergency Evacuation Estab lish and regula rly practice a pl an of escape in the event of fire. Th e following steps are recommended by the Na tional Fi re Protection Ass ociation: 1.
