Hardware Options Installation 29 Memory Option The server blade ships with two DIMMs in stalled in processor 1 memory bank 1. The server blade supports up to 16 GB of memory. Each processor has two banks consisting of two DIMM slots in each bank. CAUTION: Use only HP DIMMs.

A dual-rank DIMM is similar to having two separate DIMMs on the same module. Although only a single DIMM module, a dual-rank DIMM acts as if it we re two separate DIMMs.
