User ’s Guide 7–1 7 Using Sec urit y Features The widespread use of Pocket PCs has signif icantly increased employee producti vity . Ho we v er , non-secured or inadequately secured Pocket PCs are creating network security issues for the corporate workplace when the y connect to a secure network.
User’s Gu ide 7–2 Using Secur ity F eatur es Settin g Up Securit y Y ou should only need to set up security one time. Y ou can make changes to any of your security settings at a later time without going through the setup procedure again. Refer to “Manage Security Settings” later in this chapter for more information.
Using Secur ity F eatur es User ’s Guide 7–3 ❏ Strong alphanumeric passw ord— enter a minimum of eight characters including at least one uppercase letter , one lo wercase letter , and one numb.
