18 s NEAXMAIL IM-16 USER G UIDE Ar chiving a messa ge The system saves old messages for a set time (for exa mple, until midnight). T o keep a message for a longer period, you can archive it. The system manager can tell you ho w long your system saves archived messages.

Each group y ou creat e has a number or a name. There ar e three types of message groups: private, open, and local access.

A fax message can have two parts: a fax document and an optional voice message annota tion. Callers can recor d a voice annotation that you hear whe n you ch eck your mes- sages.
