MASONR Y INSER T INST ALLA TION/ SOLID FUEL BURNING FIREPLACE MODEL 32 (FP) 1. The Model 32 (FP) may be inst alled in a m asonry fireplace. Minimum fireplace dimensions: 25 1/ 2" high, 21-1/2" wide, 13" deep.
6. Slide the unit out and install th e trim panels with a drill or screw gun. (Self tapping screws provided). NOTE: Make sure the gas supply line is hooked up at this time, and check for leaks at the connection using soap and water. CAUTION: Do Not use an open flame to check for leaks.
FREEST ANDING INST ALLA TION MODEL 32 (FS) 1. Determine the exact location of your gas heater. NOTE: Due to high temperatures, th is heater should be located out of traffic areas and away from furniture and draperies. NOTE: For safe installation the minimum clearances must be met.

PRODUCING ADEQUA TE VENTILA TION This section is for residential o r manufactured (mobile) installation “This heater shall not be insta lled in a confined space or unusua lly tight construction u nless pro- visions are adequate combus tion and ventilation air.
1. Determine the volume of the space (length x width x height). Length x Width x Height =_________cu.ft.(volume of space) EXAMPLE: 20 ft.(Length) x 16 ft.
VENTILA TION AIR VENTILA TION AIR FROM INSIDE BUILDING This fresh air would com e from an adjoining un confined sp ace. When venting to an adjoining space, you must provide two permanent openin gs: one within 12" of the ceiling and one within 12" of the floor on the wall c onnecting the two spaces.
VENTILA TION AIR FROM OUTDOORS Provide extra fresh air by using ventilation gri lls or ducts. You must provide two perm anent openings: one within 12" of the ceiling and one w ithin 12" of the floor. Connect these items directly to the outdoors.
PREP ARING LOG KIT Open the cartons containing the Burner Base and the M-3019 logs. Th e logs are numbered as follows: (1) Front, (2) Rear, (3) Right side top, (4 ) Left side top. WA R N I N G : POSITIONING OF LOGS IS VERY CRITICAL (SEE FIGURE 7). (1) POSITION REAR LO G (#2) , IN RE AR LOG HOLDERS, CENTERING LEFT TO RIGHT.
GAS CONNECTION Check gas type. Use only the type of gas indicat ed on the valve rating plat e. If the gas type listed on the plate is not your type of gas supply, DO NOT INSTALL. Contact your dealer for proper model. Always use an external regulator for all LP heaters to reduce the supply tank pressure to a maximum of 14" W.
GAS PRESSURE CHECK Check the inlet pressure to the burner to en sure that it is shown in the table below. NOTE: The pressure check point is located on the ri ght side of the valve facing burner, for SIT Millivolt, and the left side for SIT Modulating.

• If the pilot will not stay lit after several tries, turn the gas control knob to “OFF” and call your servi ce technician or gas supplier. 12. Turn control knob counterclockwise to the “ON” position. Push the “ON/OFF” toggle switch to the “ON” position.
THERMOST A T CONTROL OPERA TION • This valve operates off of millivolts produced by the generator. You may choose to use an optional Wall Thermostat or Remo te control.

Turn on all electrical power to the appliance. CAUTION DO NOT TRY TO ADJUST HEATING LEV ELS BY USING THE MANUAL SHUTOFF VALVE.
THERMOST A T CONTROL OPERA TION 1. The thermostat control on this heater diffe rs from standard thermostats. Standard thermostats simply turn the burner on and of f. The thermostat used on this heater senses the room temperature and adjusts the amount of gas flow to the burner.
FLAME CHECK A periodic check of the flames should be made. The pilot flame should always be present when the gas logs are in oper ation. See Figure 11. FLAME: • Propane (LP) should produce a flame that is ab out 6" above the rear log. This flam e should be yellow.

IMPOR T ANT SAFEGUARDS Although your gas logs are very realistic in appearan ce, it is not a real burning fireplace and must not be used for burning rejected material. • To avoid irreparable damage to the heater or pers onal injury, m atches, paper, garbage, or any other material must not be placed or thrown on top of the logs or into the flames.
