Page 13 ASSEMBL Y UNP ACKING This product r equires assembly . n Carefully remove the tool and any accessories from the box. Place it on a level work surface. NOTE: This tool is heavy . T o avoid back injury , lift with your legs, not your back, and get help when needed.
Page 14 ASSEMBL Y n Use the same steps to install the lower braces. Tighten all hex nuts with a wrench. n Place a carriage bolt in each of the four holes on the top of the leg stand and secure with a hex nut. n Tighten securely . n Place one foot on the bottom of each of the legs.

Page 18 OPERA TION A VOIDING INJUR Y n Make sure saw is level and does not rock. Saw should always be on a firm, level surface with plenty of room for handling and properly supporting the workpiece. n Bolt saw to the support surface to prevent slipping, walking or sliding during operations like cutting long, heavy boards.
Page 19 OPERA TION TO EXTEND THE SAW T ABLE See Figure 17. The saw tabl e can be extend ed to incr eas e the work surf ace. T o lengthen the saw table: n Loosen the table lock knob under neath the saw table by turning counterclockwise. n Using the extension scale on the saw table, extend the saw table to the desired position.
Page 20 OPERA TION USING THE RIP FENCE See Figure 20. n Unplug the saw . n From either side of the saw blade, slide the rip fence onto the saw table. Check for a smooth, gliding action. n Push the locking handle down to automatically align and secure the fence.

Page 22 ADJUSTMENTS W ARNING: T o avoid personal injury , maintain pr oper adjustment of blade tension, blade guides, and thrust bearings. n T o check tension, raise the blade guide assembly all the way up to expose the blade. n Push the blade to the side with moderate force; the blade should flex approximately 1/8 in.

Loosen the bottom screw on the right side of the blade guide assembly using the 3 mm hex key .

W ARNING: T o pr event accidental starting that could cause possible serious personal injury , tur n off the saw , remove the switch key , and unplug the saw befor e working on the band saw . The brushes located inside the saw housing on the door help protect the tir e and wheel by brushing off saw dust.
