20 Basic Operation Word completion feature The word completion feature helps you enter characters by giving you four word suggestions that begin with the letters you have entered on the keyboard. In addition to easy character input, you ca n also store frequently used wo rds and phrases in th e user dictionary.
Basic Operation 21 Text input Text input is simple. Tapping a key enters the corresponding standa rd letter. To enter a lowercase letter “h”, tap . To enter an upper case letter “H”, tap SHIFT t o turn the keyboard to shift mode, then tap . Note: While Caps lock is active, functions in reverse.

Setting secret entries You can mark entries as secret or non-secret. Secret entries will be hidden from screens (“Lock”) in the Secret applica tion.

E-Mail 33 E-Mail You can synchronize e-mail messages between the unit and your PC by installing the PC software (OZ-800 Synchronization Software and WIZA RD STATION) on the supplied CD-ROM. (See page 113) You can view e-mail messages or browse the attachments such as Microsoft ® Word documents on the unit’s display.

42 E-Mail Creating an e-mail message The E-Mail application allows you to create an e-mail message. • To create a new e -mail message, open the Index or Deta ils screen of the Outbox folder and tap “New”, or open the In dex screen of the Inbox or Mybox folder and tap “New”.

Attachment Viewer 49 Attachment Viewer The Attachment Viewer application allows you to view documen ts or spreadsheet files attached to e-mail message s. An overview of the Attachment Viewer application There are two main screens in the Attachment Viewer appl ication.

Schedule & Calendar 55 Schedule & Calendar The Schedule & Calendar appl ication allows you to organize your schedule and events. You can view your schedule by day, week, and month. The built-in alarm remi nds you of important appointme nts and dates.

Address Book 71 Address Book The Address Book application all ows you to create, modify, and manage a ll contact information, such as addresses, phone nu mbers, and E-mail addresse s. You can classify them into categories such as Personal or Business, or can customize them to suit your needs.

Memo 87 Memo The Memo applicati on allows you to make brief notes. An overview of the Memo application There are three main screens in the Memo applicatio n. Index screen - you can view a list of Memo entries. Details screen - you can confirm the details of an entry.

104 Other Applications • When you complete the settings, tap “OK” on the Settings screen. The screen returns to the Main menu screen. • The settings you made will not be stored unless you tap “OK” on the Settings screen.

Other Applications 107 Checking memory information (Memory) The unit has two types of memory: flash memory and RAM (SDRAM) memory. The flash memory holds the data in Mybox and Outbox folders for both the E-Mail and Attachment Viewer appl ications as well as the data in anothe r applications.
108 Other Applications Note: • If you forget the p assword, but you have not yet turned the unit off, you must delete all secret entries and the password from the unit. As a safeguard, be sure to make a wri tten record of the password . • If yo u forget the password and have already turned the unit off, you must do a complete reset of the unit.
Other Applications 109 Note: Choose your password carefull y. If you forg et your password, there is no way to bypass the Secret function or enter a new password without losing all data set as secret. It is strongly recommended that you use a password that you will always be able to remember, but whi ch other people will be unable to guess.
110 Other Applications Unlocking the unit Entries set as secret are not shown in the unit’s display when it is locked, and cannot be accessed using the find fu nction. To be able to recall and access secret en tries, the unit must first be unlocked.
