57 LCD CONTRAS T SETTING The LCD contr ast can be set to 8 different levels (0 to 7) to suit th e user’s nee ds (default LCD contrast set ting is LCD 4). To set the desir ed contrast level: 1. The above displa y will be seen. Pr ess the + key or CH/- ke y to select the level of contrast desired.
58 The time zone d efault of the Temp erature Station is 0 hr. To chang e to another time zone: 1. Using the + ke y or CH/- key, set the time zone. T he range runs bet ween -12 to +12 hour. 2. Press the SET key to confirm an d enter the “Tim e reception O n/Off setting” or exit the setting mode by pressing the MIN/MAX ke y.
59 Note: If the Time R eception functi on is turned OF F manually, the c lock will not at tempt an y reception of th e DCF time as l ong as the Time R eception O FF function is activated. The Time Rec eption icon will not be displa yed on the LCD. 12/24 HOUR TIM E DISPL AY SETTING 1.
60 MANUAL TIME SETTING In case the Tem perature Station is not able to det ect the Atomic time (DCF) si gnal (disturbances, tr ansmitting distance , etc.), the time can be ma nually set. The c lock will then work as a normal Quartz clock. To set the clock: 1.
61 CALENDAR SE TTING The date defaul t of the temperat ure station is 1. 1. of the year 2006 after initial set-up. Once the radio-contr olled time signals a re received, the date is automatic ally updated. Ho wever, if the signals ar e not received, the date can also be set manuall y.
62 5. Confirm with SET k ey and enter the “ °F/°C TEM PERATURE UNIT SE TTING” or exit the setting mode by pressing the MIN/MAX ke y. Note: The week day of calendar will be automaticall y set after the m onth and da y value is input. °C/°F TEMP ERATURE UNIT SE TTING The default tem perature reading is °C (degree Celsi us).

64 DISPLAY OF INDOOR MINIMUM A ND M A XIMUM RECORDS: 1. In normal displa y mode, press the MIN/MA X key once, the minim um indoor temperature will be shown in LCD. Al so the time a nd date of rec ording this temperature will be displa yed. 2. Then press the MIN/MAX button one more tim e, the maximum indoor temperat ure will be shown in LCD.

69 The transmissi on range is about 100 m from the tra nsmitter to the Tem perature Stati on (in open space). Ho wever, this dep ends on the surrou nding environme nt and interferen ce levels. If no rec eption is possibl e despite the o bservation of th ese factors, all s ystem units have to be reset (see Setting up ).
