1 Introduction ︱ Thank you f or purchasin g T ranscend’ s StoreJet 25 . T his rugged, ultra-portable , high speed USB storage dev ice is the perfect data management system f or uploading, downloadi ng, st oring and transferring your da ta.

3 Transporting • Do not pack the StoreJet 25 into luggage without proper padded support. Other items in your luggage may dama ge the drive durin g travel if it does not hav e proper protection. • Avoid squeezi ng or compressing the Sto reJet 25. • Do not place objects on top of your StoreJet 25.
4 Co nnecting to a C omputer ︱ 1. Plug the small end (1) of the USB cable in to the S toreJet 25. 2. Plug t he large end (2) of your USB cable into any available USB2.0 or USB3.0 port on your desktop or noteboo k (compatibili ty not guaranteed). NOTE : Some computers may not be able to provide suf ficient power by using only one USB por t.
5 3. A new Local Disk drive with a newly -assigned drive letter will appear, and a Removabl e Hardware icon w ill appear on the W indow s System Tray. • Computers running W indows an d Mac OS will automatically detect and install th e S toreJet 25 .

7 One Touch Backu p ︱ ︱ ︱ ︱ (Select StoreJet mode ls only ) To enable the One Touch Auto-Backup button , you must firs t run the prelo aded Transcend Elite software (located in the Transcend Elite directory of you r StoreJet).
8 Disconnecting from a Computer ︱ ︱ ︱ ︱ NEVER disconnect the S toreJet from a Compu ter when it s LED is flashing. Windows 1. Select the Hard ware ico n on the system tray . 2. The Safely Remov e Hardware pop-up w indow will appear . Select it to con tinue.
9 Linux Execute umount /mnt/Storejet to un-mount t he device. Then unplug your S toreJet 25 from the USB port..

11 8. Select a “Drive T o Format” and “ File System” from the drop-down menus, and then press “S tart” 9. A con firmation window will pop up t o warn you t hat all data on t he drive will be erased. Press “OK” to confir m no data needs to be bac ked up and star t formatting.
