29 Advanced Operations Handset and Base Operation Answering Calls From the Handset Press the appropriate LINE key, or HANDSFREE to use the Handset Speakerphone option. If the Handset is active on one line when the idle line rings, you will hear a special alert tone, signifying an inbound call.
