8 9 8 9 1. ALWAYS USE SAW BLADE GUARD , riving knife and anti- kickback pawls for every through– sawing operation. Through–sawing operations are those in which the blade cuts completely through the workpiece when ripping or crosscutting. Always be sure blade guard is tightened securely.

16 17 16 17 GLOSSARY OF TERMS ANTI-KICKBACK PAWLS – Prevents the workpiece from being kicked upward or back toward the front of the table saw by the spinning blade. ARBOR – The shaft on which the blade or dado is mounted. BEVEL CUT – An angle cut made through the face of the workpiece.
16 17 16 17 TABLE INSERT – Insert that is removed from the table to install / remove blades. It is also removed for dado cutting. When dado cutting, a dado insert plate must be used. THROUGH SAWING – Making a cut completely through the length or width of a workpiece.
18 19 18 19 5. Assemble the other upper supports in exactly the same manner. 6. Attach one bottom support (5) to the center of the leg using bolt (3) and nut (4). This completes the front frame section. 7. Assemble rear frame section in exactly the same manner.

NOTE : The roller wheel assemblies and bottom support bracket (18) can be installed on either the right- hand side or left-hand side. Always install the roller wheel assemblies and the bottom support bracket (18) at the same time.
20 21 20 21 5. Mark an 11 in. square (2) centered between the four mounting holes (1). 6. Cut out and remove the square. 7. This opening will allow sawdust to fall through the saw base. 8. Place the saw on the work surface, and align the mounting holes of the saw with those drilled through the surface.
20 21 20 21 RIP FENCE (FIG. K) 1. Lift upward on the rip fence handle (1) so the rear holding clamp (2) is fully extended. 2. Place the rip fence on the saw table, and attach the set plate (3) under the fence handle (1) to the rail first. 3. Push down on the fence handle (1) to lock.
22 23 22 23 6. Thread the arbor nut (2) onto the arbor, making sure the flat side of the nut is against the blade, then hand-tighten. (Fig. N) 7. To tighten the arbor nut (2), place the open-end wrench (5) on the flats of the saw arbor to keep the arbor from turning (Fig.
22 23 22 23 Installing the riving knife assembly (Fig. P, P-1) 1. Remove the table insert 2. With the blade elevation handwheel (1), raise the blade arbor to the maximum height. 3. Loosen the blade lock handle (2). Just turn and move the handwheel (1) to 45° on the bevel scale.
24 25 24 25 NOTE: ● The washers (1/4*1/2-3/32) (5) are not included with this table saw. It must be purchased separately. ● Riving knife thickness is 0.09 in. ● The maximum radial distance between the riving knife and the toothed rim of the saw blade is 0.
24 25 24 25 4. Take the blade guard assembly and locate the black sliding locking knob (4) on the back of assemb ly. (Fig. T) Fig. T 5. Insert the blade guard assembly onto the riving knife so that the pin (5) engages into slot (6) completely. (Fig T-1) 6.
26 27 26 27 2. Unlock both front and rear cam locking levers (1) on the right hand side of the saw base by flipping the lever over. 3. Insert the table extension mounting tubes (2) into the two matching holes in the cam lever assemblies.

28 29 28 29 MOVE THE TABLE SAW (FIG. CC) 1. Slide the table extension toward the table until it rests against the saw table and tighten the two cam- locking levers. 2. Hold the table saw firmly, pull the table saw toward you until the saw is balanced on the wheels.

30 31 30 31 ADJUSTING THE 90° AND 45° POSITIVE STOPS (FIG. HH, II) Your saw has positive stops that will quickly position the saw blade at 90° and 45° to the table. Make adjustments only if necessary. 90° Stop 1. Disconnect the saw from the power source.
30 31 30 31 BLADE PARALLEL TO THE MITER GAUGE GROOVE (FIG. JJ, KK) This adjustment was made at the factory, but it should be rechecked and adjusted if necessary. To prevent personal injury: ● Always disconnect plug from the power source when making any adjustments.
32 33 32 33 If the blade is partial to left side: 1. Turn the right adjustment screw (3) counterclockwise and adjust the left side ad justment s crew (2) c lockwise. 2. Remeasure, as described in steps 4 to 9 in the prior section. 3. When alignment is achieved, turn the right adjustment screw (3) until it touches the pivot rod (4).

34 35 34 35 OPERATION BASIC SAW OPERATIONS RAISE THE BLADE (FIG. MM) To raise or lower the blade, turn the blade elevation handwheel (1) to the desired blade height, and then tighten the bevel lock handle (2) to maintain the desired blade angle. Fig. MM TILTING THE BLADE Two methods are available for tilting the saw blade.
34 35 34 35 USING THE TABLE EXTENSION (FIG. OO, PP) If the table extension is not parallel with the table, remove the bolts (1) and position the extension leveling spacers (2) between the table extension and tube until it is parallel with the table, then tighten the bolts.
36 37 36 37 ● The workpiece must have a straight edge against the fence and must not be warped, twisted, or bowed when ripping. 1. Remov e th e mi ter gauge and sto re i t in the “sto rage ” co mpar tmen t in the bas e of the saw . 2. Secure the rip fence to the table.
36 37 36 37 BEVEL RIPPING This cut is the same as ripping except the blade bevel angle is set to an angle other than “0 0 ”. RIPPING SMALL PIECES To avoid injury from the blade contact, never make cuts narrower than 3/4 in. wide. 1. It is unsafe to rip small pieces.
38 39 38 39 AUXILIARY FENCE (FIG. UU) Making the base: ● Start with a piece of 3/8 in. plywood at least 5-1/2 in. wide or wider and 21 in. long or longer. ● Cut the piece to shape and size shown: Making the side: ● Start with a piece of 3/4 in. hardwood at least 1-3/4 in.
38 39 38 39 Always position the larger surface of the workpiece on the table when crosscutting and/or bevel crosscutting to avoid instability. Fig. WW USING THE WOOD FACING ON THE MITER GAUGE (FIG. XX) Slots are provided in the miter gauge for attaching an auxiliary facing (1) to make it easier to cut very long or short pieces.
40 41 40 41 BEVEL CROSSCUTTING (FIG. YY) 0°~45° BLADE BEVEL & 90° MITER ANGLE This cutting operation is the same as crosscutting except the blade is at a bevel angle other than 0°. Always work to the right side of the blade during this type of cut.
40 41 40 41 USING THE WOOD FACING ON THE RIP FENCE (FIG. bb) When performing some special cutting operations, you can add a wood facing to either side of the rip fence (2). 1. Use a smooth straight 3/4 in. thick wood board (1) that is as long as the rip fence.

42 43 42 43 MAINTENANCE MAINTAINING YOUR TABLE SAW GENERAL MAINTENANCE For your own safety, turn the switch OFF and remove the switch key. Remove the plug from the power source outlet before maintaining or lubricating your saw. 1. Clean out all sawdust that has accumulated inside the saw cabinet and the motor.
44 45 44 45 MAINTENANCE NOTE: If excessive looseness is observed in any part of the blade raising mechanism or tilting mechanism, take the complete unit to a Service Center. LUBRICATION All motor bearings are permanently lubricated at the factory and require no additi onal lub rication .
