Hearing instruments are int ended to impr ove the hearing of hearing impaired persons. Diagnosis and pr escription of a hearing instrument must be performed by hearing health specialists, e.g. ENT doctors, audiologists or acous- ticians. Read and follo w the instructions of this user guide to av oid injuries or damage to the hearing instrument.
NOTICE Y our hearing instrument is sensitive t o extreme heat, high humidity , strong magne tic fields (> 0.1T), X -rays and mechanical stres s. Do not expose y our hearing instrument to extreme X temperatur e or high humidity. Do not lea ve it in direct sunlight.
W ARNING Risk in explosive en vironments, e.g. mining areas! Don't use your hearing instruments (and r emote con- X trol) in ar eas where there is a danger of e xplosions. NOTICE f or batteries Leaking batteries damage the instrument. Remove batt eries when the instrument is not in use for X a prolonged period of time.
Remove the tab on y our X batteries only when y ou are ready t o use them. The positive (+) side of the batteries is alwa ys the X smooth side. Always k eep spare batteries with you.

9 Changing the hearing program Y our hearing instruments offer up to 5 hearing pr o- grams for specific list ening environments. Each time you pr ess the program butt on, your hear - ing instruments switch to the ne xt program, con- firming each change with an acoustic signal.

Y our hearing instruments hav e one of the following ear pieces: Domes and Receiver Molds 12 Dome with C-Guard Grid-Dome Receiver Mold with C-Guard Full functionality of Domes, Grid-Domes and Receiv er Molds is only assur ed with a working wax guard. Wax guar d is the integrat ed C-Guard.
Cleaning Cerumen (ear wax) on the Domes, Grid-Domes and Receiver Molds affect sound quality . Clean Domes, Grid-Domes and Recei- X ver Molds right after taking the hea- ring instruments off. This way cerumen can no t dr y and harden. Remove cerumen with a soft tissue.
Replacing the Dome/ Grid-Dome Remove the old Dome/ Grid-Dome X from the r eceiver . Pres s the tip of the Receiver Unit X into the ne w Dome/ Grid-Dome. Ensure that the Dome/ Grid-Dome X is fully attached (ref er to illustra- tion). If the Dome/ Grid-Dome is not mount ed correctly the X sound quality will be affected.
Replacing the C-Guard of the Receiver Mold Remove the C-Guar d with the back side X of the C-Guard tool. The C-Guar d can not be r e-used after the disassembling proces s. Insert the new C-Guard. X Change the C-Guard appr oximat ely every X thr ee months, or as needed.
