Hearing instruments are intended to impr ove the hearing of hearing impaired persons. Diagnosis and prescription of a hearing instrument must be performed by hearing health specialists, e.g. ENT doctors, audiologists or acou- sticians. Read and follo w the instructions of this user guide to av oid injuries or damage to the hearing instrument.
NOTICE Y our hearing instrument is sensitive to extreme heat, high humidity , strong magnetic fields (> 0.1T), X-rays and mechanical stress. Do not expose y our hearing instrument to extreme X temperature or high humidity . Do not lea ve it in direct sunlight.
W ARNING Risk in explosive envir onments, e.g. mining areas! Don't use your hearing instruments (and remo te con- X trol) in areas where there is a danger of explosions. NOTICE f or batteries Leaking batteries damage the instrument. Remove batteries when the instrument is no t in use for X a prolonged period of time.
Remove the tab on your X batteries only when you are ready to use them. The positive (+) side of the batteries is always the X smooth side. Always keep spare batteries with y ou.
Handling of standard and rechargeable batteries Inserting the batter y Open the batter y compartment completely X using your fingernail as shown in the illus- tration. Insert the proper size batter y so that X the "+" symbol on the batter y aligns with the "+" marked on the batter y compartment.

If the batter y does not come out, lightly tap the instrument or push the batter y out with a pencil as shown.
Inserting and removing your hearing instrument 7 NOTICE Do not use lubricant when y ou insert the Dome/ ear- X mold, because it may clog the sound outlet.
Removing y our hearing instrument T urn your hearing instrument off. X Hold the Receiver Unit/ Receiver Mold X between your thumb and index finger and carefully pull it out. Y ou may find it helpful t o lightly push your ear fr om the back. C AUTION The ear tip needs to be attached pr operly.
T urn on: Press the push button f or 2 seconds to turn the X instrument ON. T urn off: Press the push button f or 2 seconds to turn the X instrument OFF . Power-on dela y Y our hearing instrument is equipped with a „power-on-de- lay“ feature which can be activated b y your Hearing Care Professional.
9 Changing the hearing program Y our hearing instruments offer up to 5 hearing pro- grams for specific listening en vironments. Each time you press the pr ogram button, your hea- ring instruments switch to the next pr ogram, confir- ming each change with an acoustic signal.
Y our hearing instruments are equipped with e2e (ear-to- ear) wireless 2.0 technology . Advantages of the wireless functionality: Automatically adjusts bo th hearing instruments simulta- neously to different listening situations. Allows use of accessories, e.
NOTICE Do not put the hearing instruments in X water . Y our hearing instruments are highly sensitive systems. Proper care and handling will ensure the best possible performance. Clean instruments regularly to prevent damage t o the X hearing instruments and to av oid health problems.
Y our hearing instrument has either a Dome or a Receiver Mold. C-Guard Domes and Receiver Molds include integrated C-Guard wax pro tection system. Domes and Receiver Molds 12 Full functionality of Domes and Receiver Molds is only assured with a working C-Guard.
Daily cleaning Cerumen (ear wax) on the C-Guard affects sound quality . Remove wax with a soft tissue. X No other tools are req uired. The Dome/ Receiver Mold cleans best right after taking the hearing instru- ments off. This way Cerumen can not dry and harden.
Replacing the Dome Holding the Receiver Unit in one hand, grasp the X Dome between the thumb and index finger of your o ther hand. Then remove the Dome fr om the receiver . X The new Dome is delivered in a box. Leave the Dome in the bo x and press the tip X of the Receiver Unit into the new Dome as shown in the picture.
Replacing the C-Guard of the Receiver Mold Remove the C-Guard with the bac k side of X the C-Guard tool. The C-Guard can no t be re-used after the disassembling process. Insert the new C-Guard. X Change the C-Guard appro ximately ever y X three months, or as needed.

In the event your hearing instruments can be X controlled b y another person's remote contr ol, re- turn hearing instruments and remote contr ol to your Hearing Care Professional.
14 Accessories Charger Y our hearing instruments work with standard or rechar- geable batteries. With the easy-to-use char ger you can charge the rechar geable batteries for one or two hearing instruments. After just five hour s of charging, the char ger shuts itself off and the hea- ring instruments are ready to run f or a day .
